Materials Used on Project and Quantities:
- Base Course Gravel (P-208) = 16,750 Tons
- Bituminous Surface Course HMA = 11,650 Tons
Crews worked to rotomill and remove existing asphalt mat and base course gravel to a depth of 9 inches. Additionally, the team worked to prepare sub-grade, furnish and place new aggregate base course gravel and new hot mix asphalt pavement. The project also received new electrical lighting to allow nighttime use of the Airstrip. Striping and pavement marking and crews also added seeding and mulching.
